For those seeking a challenging shorter dog sledding tour combined with winter camping, our new 5-day Mushing in the Mountains experience is the ideal solution.
From your base at the Husky Lodge in Jämtland in north-west Sweden, you will lead your team of 4 Siberian Huskies into the Jämtland mountains for 3 days of dog sledding and wild camping in the wilderness. If you prefer, it is also possible to spend one night under canvas and one night in mountain cabin during your tour.
The period between mid-February and mid-April is the optimum time for dog sledding with winter camping in this area. Scheduled dates for Mushing in the Mountains dogsledding tours for the 2010 winter season are 09.02-13.02.10 and 06.04-10.04.10. Additional dates are added on request from minimum 2 persons between mid-December and April.
